DJI Mavic Air 2: 4K 60P = AWESOME

Published

on

You know the specs so I’m just going to show you what the DJI Mavic Air 2 can do

.While the weather looks perfect for shooting at my local headland it’s important to note the wind was very strong.

I lost my cap twice!

The aim of the flight was to see how smooth the video at 4K/60P would be, how it would handle the fine detail of waves in motion and dynamic range.

The settings for this shoot were manual.

Resolution:     4K

Frame Rate:    60P

ISO:                  100

Shutter:           1/800

Profile:           D-Cinelike

Let me know what you think or is there something you’d like to see before I do my final review video.

SAMSUNG S95C 77 REVIEW: Must See TV

Published

on

Samsung’s second generation QD OLED TV is brilliant. It improves on the impressive S95B with increased brightness and more realistic colours.

In this review I show how it performs when displaying challenging films and TV programs.
Sport and Gaming are two huge reasons why the S95C should be at the top of your list when shopping for your next TV.

In the video you’ll see the 77 inch model with Q-Series Soundbar.

Note:

At the time of publication the S95C was reduced massively in price. This must be taken into account as the competition is extremely fierce between the TV makers.

Let me know what you think of the S95C 77 in the comments below.

Sony a7S III: Making Steel 4K Slow Mo

Published

on

If you love slow motion and the glow of making steel – this clip is for you. Sound up! To see the sparks fly head to 5:00.

At Sydney Steel Mill they recycle scrap metal into new steel products.

This video was shot with the Sony a7s III and Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS full-frame power zoom lens – autofocus was used.

The camera was briefly supplied by Sony Australia for review.

The aim was to record 4K 100p with audio to capture the atmosphere of the ‘melt shop’ in all its glory.

It was edited in Premiere Pro and slowed to 25%. There was no grading.

Audio was recorded with Sony shotgun mic supplied with XLRK3M hot shoe adapter.

I’ve been using Picture Profile 1 with some minor adjustments. I generally shoot ‘as is’ for fast turnaround. It also give some flexibility when saving blown highlights.

When used with the FE PZ 28-135mm power zoom lens – this is a beast. I’ll be buying one for sure.

More videos soon.
