The Hero12 Black has been announced by GoPro and although it’s not what the rumours suggested – in some ways it’s actually better. And it will cost A$649.
Speculation of a larger sensor with 8K video did not eventuate but what we have is a GoPro camera with so many extra features it makes sense for pros and consumers at the same time.

GoPro is launching a new 1.2m extension pole to just 25cm and it’s designed to

Included with the new extension pole is a detachable, wearable and waterproof Bluetooth shutter remote that makes it easy to control HERO12 Black’s shutter even when the pole is fully extended. HERO12 Black (A$649.95) and Max Lens Mod 2.0 (A$169.95 or A$135.95 for GoPro
subscribers) are available for preorder on GoPro.com starting today. Both products will be available in stores globally on September 13, along with HERO12 Black Creator Edition for $949.95 AUD.
The all-new Extension Pole + Waterproof Shutter Remote will be available in October 2023.
